Internship
The Cocon women’s shelter offers an internship in the field of “Counselling women”. Male as well as female students of social work/social pedagogy or educational science specialising in social work are invited to send us their application. A qualified supervisor is available during the internship.

Interested parties should have already dealt with the topic of domestic violence and its consequences for women and children and be at least 21 years old. You should be available for a period of at least 20 weeks for the internship. You should plan to spend at least four full working days per week in the women’s shelter and you should also define your own area of responsibility for the duration of the internship.

We also offer internships in the areas of “pedagogical work with children and their mothers” if our personnel resources allow. In principle, detailed questions (tasks, duration, childcare options) must be discussed on a case-by-case basis in the respective area of work.

In addition to the objectives of the respective discipline, we offer our interns a comprehensive insight into the work of the women’s shelter, which includes direct work with women and children as well as the organisation of a self-managed project, everyday organisation, public relations and committee work, quality development and teamwork.

We offer interns in our women’s refuge the opportunity to take part in team meetings and case supervision. For further support during the internship, it would also be desirable for interns to take part in a supervision group at their training centre.

We do not have any funds available for remuneration. However, we offer integration into a lively, creative team, good working conditions and room for your own creativity.
